Remember To Breathe
In 2000 a national Arts Council project Year of The Artist invited artists to propose residencies in diverse alternative sites for art.
I became artist in residence at Victoria Baths, a derelict swimming baths which was being saved by local residents The Friends of Victoria Baths.
I worked in the baths alongside Pool Arts, a new organisation run by and for artists in the area.
Together we explored the process of collaboration and created a series of installations throughout the building focussing on Mind, Body and Environment. In this case the environemnet of the Edwardian baths building. This culminated in the exhibition Remember To Breathe.
