I am an artist working primarily in Manchester, UK.

My practice has been until recently focussed on long term relationships with particular places and people, which I describe as art as relationship: environment as art. I am now looking to work further afield and have been as far as Liverpool and Cumbria this year!

I am interested in the questions - who can be an artist today? where can art be experienced? and why it is important? I try to explore the way that contemporary art practice intersects with everyday situations, and how those "ordinary" situations affect me as an artist.

My work is often created in collaboration with others, including fellow artists, galleries, voluntary groups, individuals and organisations and this has led me to leading some curatorial work.

On this website you can find out more about my past work, various ongoing projects and recent curatorial work. The gallery of images forms an archive of over 20 years practice. If you need to more information, please contact me directly, via the contact page.

please bear with us as we build the site and scan all the old slides!
